OK, to start of, I'll tell you one thing. Vagrant Story is an amazing, intriguing, brilliant game. If you are a hardcore RPG fan and you don't own this game, GET IT YOU SICK LITTLE MONKEY! *Ahem* Well, the plot, basically is the same as any other decent RPG. You play as Ashley Riot, who is a "Risk Breaker". Risk Breakers are kind of mercenaries, they carry out missions without question and come back alive. You begin in a burning down mansion, trying to track down a supernatural being named Sydney. Sydney, however, is immortal, due to a "tattoo" on his back, which is called The Rood Inverse. As from there, you will eventually learn more about the Rood Inverse. So basically, this game is another Final Fantasy clone but one which has NOT gone wrong (thought it was impossible, didn't you?). Now onto the graphics. I took one look at the starting FMV. Wow. That's all I can say. The graphics on the FMV are of the same quality of the FMV's on Final Fantasy VIII. Utterly stunning. Even the game itself has absolutely amazing graphics. There is only about 2 - 3 glitches in the game. And the characters, believe it or not, are not the usual square shape we are used to. Oh no, they're like an FMV when you think about it. And lastly, the sound quality. Once again, wow. Listen carefully in some locations to hear footsteps or maybe clanging metal of your foe. Then you can make an ambush. Also, when Ashley shouts when he attacks, you can here the echo depending on your location. The only drawback on the whole game, is the tricky menu system. Tons and tons to go through to just select a weapon. But halfway through the game, you will get use to it and will be changing weapons to suite your foe very quickly.

Gameplay: The game will last you about 2 - 3 weeks to complete. May sound pathetic but when you discover you have 30 ranks to go through and 100% map to complete, the game itself will take at least 4 - 6 months to get EVERYTHING in the game. There is the almighty Hand Of Light and the extremely powerful Rood Inverse sword to collect (which will be explained in the Walkthru section) which take some serious fighting to collect. 8/10

Graphics: Absolutely spot on. Brilliant. The game looks gorgeous. As I said before, 2 - 3 glitches. By that I mean when the weapon kinda goes through Ashleys arm or head or something. And this only happens when you use the Hand Of Light, which is a minotaurs club therefore is comically huge. Just a bit of humour added. 9/10

Sound:Utterlly unreal. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from a bunch of polygon people and background created by computer. I explained most of the sound in the actual review so thats it for the sound! 10/10

Overall:Well, I said it before and I'll say it again. Get the game now you fool! It is an amazing game and when you play it, you will have an amazing expierince playing it. WOW! Well anyway, this is a truly great game and it the only game which I would give 10/10 for! And yes, it has scored 10/10! Well done Squaresoft, you've really outdone yourselves this time! Now all I have to do is look forward to Final Fantasy 9! 10/10
